SCHOOL HISTORY

Kondoa Girls High School, located in Kondoa Town, Dodoma Region, Tanzania, approximately 4 kilometers northwest of the town center, is a notable educational institution with a rich history. Established as a government boarding school, it serves as an advanced-level (Forms V and VI) academic institute exclusively for girls. The school’s foundation stone was laid and officially opened 1987 by Joseph Sinde Warioba, who served as Tanzania’s Prime Minister and First Vice President, marking a significant milestone in its establishment. Its origins are tied to Tanzania’s efforts to expand educational opportunities, particularly for girls, in the post-independence era.
